Founded in 1955 as the Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary and declared as Project Tiger Reserve in 1973, Ranthambore became a national park in 1980.        

Best place to see tiger in its natural habitat, one can see them even in Day light. The park's deciduous forests are characteristic examples of the type of jungle found in Central India. Other than lion other major wild animals that can be found in Ranthambore including in leopard, nilgai, wild boar, sambar, hyena, sloth bear and chital. In vegetation Ranthambore includes exclusive vegetation in India not to be found anywhere else on the earth.

According to 2014 census there are 62 tigers in the forest.  T24 is the biggest tiger in Ranhtambore National Park. Tigress “Lady of the Lakes”, T 39, T-13, Broken Tail are some of the most popular lions in the park.     

Jungle Safari
